CHAdeMO membership gives PRE access to DC Charging knowledge and a worldwide network

The PRE power modules in many European charging stations ensure that electrical vehicles are charged fast and efficient. The market and the solutions are changing fast. Therefore innovation is essential to operate successfully in this market. PRE Power Developers always looks for the maximum result by creating innovative solutions and is happy to work with other parties to ensure this result. PRE is now a full member of CHAdeMO, which grants that PRE has access to all the available knowledge. Furthermore, CHAdeMO has a strong community in which PRE expects to meet new acquaintances.

CHAdeMO
CHAdeMO is a cooperative platform for e-mobility regarding the charging protocol CHAdeMO DC. All the members cooperate like an eco system of companies that offer CHAdeMO related products and services. The purpose is to promote and enable worldwide electrical mobility. Full members have access to the protocol and can participate in technical workshops.

CHAdeMO DC is a DC charging protocol for EV-charging with a capacity of 6 kW to 200 kW. Loading capacities from 350 to 400 kW are now in preparation. The protocol follows four principles:

1. SAFETY
CHAdeMO mandates strict guidelines in designing chargers to guarantee electrical safety in any operating conditions.

2. FUTURE-PROOF
CHAdeMO is Smart Grid-ready through its bi-directional charging capability. It is also compatible with any local or optional functions beyond charging.

3. EASE OF APPLICATION
The protocol works with CAN-communication, an on board communication network for every EV, which makes the integration with the rest of the car easy and reliable.

4. UNIFORMITY
CHAdeMO connector is identical across the globe and is a stand-alone plug that can be with or without an AC connector. It saves costs for EV makers and enables cross-continental EV travels. 

PRE products on website CHAdeMO
Bidirectional loading capacity is one of the spearheads of CHAdeMO. In recent years PRE has developed two bidirectional chargers. CHAdeMO has already shown a lot of interest in the 6 kW and the 10 kW power modules. These modules have been added to the website of CHAdeMO, as well as information regarding the unique worldwide solar input module.
