Ronald Jakobs starts as Operations Director

As of October 1^st, Ronald Jakobs started as operational director of PRE power developers. Ronald started his new challenge at PRE filled with ambitions. In this article he introduces himself, explains why he chose PRE and what he wants to achieve as operational director. 

Experienced supply chain / operations manager
Ronald has worked for various manufacturing companies over the past twenty years. Ronald: “I have a background in supply chain / operations and specifically at manufacturing companies. Recently, I set up the supply chain and production process for high-power LED luminaires in Eindhoven and Malaysia. In this role I became acquainted with PRE as a supplier of power electronics. "

Contributing to substantial growth
Therefore, Ronald is not unknown at PRE. Because of his good experiences with PRE, Ronald likes to take up the challenge.
Ronald: “The acquaintance with PRE started a few years ago when we collaborated successfully in the supply chain of the high-power LED luminaires. We have recently met up again because PRE was looking for someone with operational experience to contribute to the substantial growth that is foreseen, together with Heliox and investment company Waterland. A great opportunity for me to be part of a fast-growing company with great people and great potential in the market. PRE is a very important player in the electric vehicle charging market and has enormous potential. PRE can supply power modules as well as complete chargers. Based on PRE’s concepts, customers can rely on flexible modular and high-tech solutions that meet their requirements. " 

Build a flexible and reliable supply chain
Ronald is very ambitious and knows exactly what he wants to achieve with his new team and what his role will be: “What I stand for is 'one team, one goal'. This means that we should do the work together and be proud when we achieve our ambitious goals. In order to do that, we must be able to focus on the things that matter. Standard procedures are automated as much as possible. My role is to manage and contribute to operational excellence and to focus on the organization of charger manufacturing. Our goal is to build a supply chain that is both flexible and reliable, capable of meeting the high demands of the market regarding the complete portfolio with customization possibilities. Customers need the best prices, on-time deliveries and expect the highest quality and service. The operational organization will contribute to be the strongest and most reliable partner and set its focus to achieve these goals for the benefit of our customers."
